trekking in the atlas mountains

Our Trips

Throughout our trips we offer local experiences which bring you closer to the destination. During our Atlas Village Berber Trail we use local guides on the treks so you can learn from someone who has grown up and lives in the area. This helps support the local community as well as providing jobs for the local Moroccan people.

Our Accommodation

We are passionate about providing authentic, small-scale accommodation throughout our trips. From the charming riads of the Marrakesh souks to the simple yet comfortable Bedouin tents in the Sahara Desert. We think that the accommodation you stay in adds so much to the experience of a destination and should reflect the charm and character of your surroundings.

Our Local Morocco Project

We select local projects for each destination, and give all of our customers the option to make a small donation to these projects when they book their trip. Rickshaw Travel is proud to support Moroccan Youth UK, a UK based charity which is devoted to the relief of poverty and hardship to those most in need, by providing facilities for their care, education and health in some of the poorest areas of Morocco. They run a project called the ‘Shelter project’ which facilitates efforts to improve the quality of life and tackle poverty and other social issues in some of Morocco’s most impoverished areas.

Our Local Partners

We are proud to work with a local partner in Morocco who shares our values and supports our efforts when it comes to meaningful travel. We also use local Moroccan guides and drivers during all our excursions. Not only does this make for a more rewarding experience, but it also helps to put money into the pockets of the local people. You’ll also have the advantage of your guide’s local knowledge; you can even ask them where their favourite restaurants are!
