Rickshaw Travel Financial Protection

Financial protection with Rickshaw TravelWhen booking with Rickshaw Travel, your money is safe, as Rickshaw Travel Ltd is a fully licensed and bonded tour operator.

We hold an Air Travel Organisers License (ATOL number 9728) issued by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). This means that in the unlikely event of our insolvency, any holiday arrangements made with us in conjunction with flights from the U.K. are 100% protected.

In addition we are also members of Association of British Travel Agents (ABTA number Y0484). This means that in the unlikely event of our insolvency, any land only trips (i.e. where international flights haven’t been booked through us) are 100% protected.

All air tickets purchased through us include airline failure insurance. This means that if you book your air tickets with us (as opposed to booking with an airline directly), if an airline subsequently goes into administration, you would get a refund of your airfare prior to the commencement of your trip (up to a maximum of £1500 per person). If your trip had already started and the airline you were due to return home with goes out of business, you would be brought home by an alternative carrier.

When you book with us, your contract is with us, not an overseas supplier. We have tour operators liability insurance in place. We are a UK based and UK registered company. When deciding who to book with, beware of any holiday or flight providers that don’t explicitly provide you with this security.

If you book just your land arrangements with us (i.e. if you book your international flights elsewhere), you are covered by our ABTA bond.

ATOL

(Air Travel Organiser’s Licence) – Number 9728

If you book your land arrangements and your international flights with us, you are covered by our ATOL bond.

We also take our airline failure insurance that will provide onward or return travel if any of our customers is left stranded due to an airline going out of business. This scheme would also provide a refund of up to £1500 per ticket, in the event that a carrier failed financially prior to commencement of travel.
